FIGS: The health benefits of figs increase when they are dried. Dried figs have higher antioxidant activity and mineral content than fresh figs. Dried figs are rich in dietary fibre, minerals including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and copper and are a good source of vitamins A, B, E and K. They are also among the most alkaline foods and can help balance the body’s pH levels.
