Product Description
Nature's Superfoods' Acai Berry Powder is made from 100% Acai (pronounced ah-sah-EE) berry pulp that is freeze-dried to preserve all nutrients and antioxidants, with no added carriers, preservatives or sugar. Freeze-dried Acai berry pulp ensures greater amounts of nutrients and antioxidants than Acai berry juice powder or Acai puree, because the moisture/water has been removed, leaving behind concentrated nutrients. About 20 kg of berries are used to produce just 1 kg of acai berry pulp powder.

Story/Tradition of Acai Berry
Native to the Amazon rainforests of South and Central America, the Acai has been a staple of many Amazonian communities for generations especially in Brazil. The name açaí has roots in the Tupi–Guarani language spoken by indigenous peoples of the region, who have learned centuries ago to process the berry into powder to use as medicine and enrich other foods with nutrients. Traditional uses for the nutrient-dense Acai berry included treatment for diarrhea, parasitic infections, hemorrhages, ulcers and various skin conditions.
