Product Description

Nature’s Superfoods’ Organic Omega Sacha Seeds (or Sacha Inchi Seeds) may look and taste like nuts, but they are not nuts! They are seeds, albeit large seeds, of the Sacha Inchi plant. The Sacha Inchi plant is native to the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. The seeds are not edible in its raw form, hence they are usually roasted. Our Omega Sacha Seeds have been dry-roasted to nutty, crunchy perfection. The controlled roasting process also improves the digestibility of the seeds.

Nutrition

Sacha Inchi possesses numerous health benefits due to its good amounts of complete protein, Omega fats (3,6), vitamin A and E and dietary fibre. In addition, it is also rich in iron, calcium and potassium. Rich in its tryptophan content as well, Sacha Inchi helps stimulate the brain to produce more serotonin for a sense of well-being and to suppress hunger.

These crunchy nutty delights make an excellent workout snack and a great alternative to traditional nuts with its richer nutrient profile (more Omega 3 and protein).

Great discovery...

"Chance upon organic Sacha seeds at NTUC Finest, bought it out of curiosity. Used to pair them with all kinds of dried fruits to soften the unfamiliar taste but now I “progressed” to eating the seeds without pairing and greatly enjoying them! I’m sharing & gifting my family members and friends with this great product ...THANK YOU Nature’s Superfoods for introducing us to this wonderful product!"

"The berry is much larger than I expected. Nice texture and it is extremely tart. Good for people who do not like things sweet."

It's a pod, it's a nut...no it's a superseed!

"All along I have been taking fish oil supplements, but I didn't want to continue as I'm already taking a fair bit of supplements daily. I wanted to find a food-source Omega-3. With a busy schedule, I couldn't possibly be having fish at my meals outside (hurts my wallet too much). One day, I saw this from Fairprice Finest Bishan and thought I give it a try. As it was the first time I tried it, I didn't know what to expect initially. Honestly, it has a hint of fishy taste on my first bite, but as you munch more, the burst of nutty flavour shines out more and it grows on you. Loving it now! Will continue to purchase this."
