Is Nutritional Yeast’s protein level sufficient?
Nutritional yeast has good-quality complete protein with all 9 essential amino acids, typically containing 5.1 grams of protein per serving (2 tablespoons or 10g), making it a good addition to vegetarian and vegan diets to help meet daily protein needs. We would recommend adding Nutritional Yeast to other high-protein foods such as tofu, tempeh, meats, fish, in order to meet your daily protein and B-vitamin needs. In general, a healthy adult requires 0.8-1g protein per kg of body weight, on a daily basis.
