How is Ceylon Cinnamon powder different from the other types of cinnamon?
Ceylon, or “true cinnamon,” is native to Sri Lanka and southern parts of India. Ceylon cinnamon is less common and has long been prized as a cooking spice. It is more expensive compared to the more common cassia variety, due to its better quality and safer (lower) coumarin levels. Ceylon cinnamon has a finer, more delicate flavor compared to the more common cinnamon powder.
