How Can We Help?
Are Dried Figs high in sugar?
Dried Figs contain relatively moderate amounts of fructose (natural sugar found in fruits), and high amounts of fiber. They have a medium GI (glycemic index) which means they will not spike your blood sugar rapidly when taken in moderation. As with any other dried fruits (high in both natural sugars as well as nutrients), it is best to consume dried figs in moderation by following the serving recommendation on package. And if you have diabetes, make sure to talk with your doctor first in order to best plan out your fruit consumption choices.
