Nature’s Superfoods’ Chia Seed Oil is obtained (cold-pressed) from whole chia seeds that are organically grown and sustainably harvested in the Andean regions. This oil is exceptionally high in omega-3 fats (up to 63%) and has an ideal balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids (ratio of 3 to 1).
Most of our modern diets are deficient in Omega 3 fatty acids and have way too much Omega 6 fatty acids which are found in most vegetable oils used in our foods. This imbalance (with excessive Omega 6) may contribute to excess inflammation in the body. The high content of Omega 3 in Chia Seed Oil helps to supplement this essential nutrient needed by our bodies and reduce inflammation.
CHIA SEED OIL: Chia Seed Oil is an excellent nutritive supplement with the optimal ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 (3:1 ratio). It is also a rich source of antioxidants like kaempferol, quercetin, caffeic acid which all contribute to the overall health benefits of this oil. Additionally, it also has various types of minerals and vitamins like B vitamins, copper, zinc, and iron. Chia seed oil contains no cholesterol.
