Sweet Cacao Nibs
No, there are no artificial sweeteners or refined sugar added. The cacao nibs are sweetened with yacon root syrup. Yacon syrup naturally contains 35-50% FOS (fructo-oligosaccharides) and a low proportion of simple sugars. The sweetness comes from a high concentration of inulin, a complex sugar that breaks down slowly into fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS).
You can't melt cacao nibs any more than you can melt coffee beans. Cacao nibs are bite of the cacao bean.
