Nature’s Superfoods’ Organic Raw Cacao (pronounced ‘Ka-CAW’) is made from organic unroasted cacao beans from the premium variety Criollo (deemed as ‘king of cacao’ for its fine flavor & fragrance). Minimally processed and unroasted, raw cacao contains higher amounts of antioxidants, magnesium, iron and potassium than the highly processed, roasted cocoa. In short, the less heat applied, the more antioxidants and important nutrients you get from cacao.
Raw Cacao is one of the world’s richest sources of antioxidants and 'bliss' nutrients such as phenethylamine (PEA, the feel-good neurotransmitter responsible for the feeling of love), tryptophan (mood-enhancer and a commonly deficient amino acid in those who consume a diet of mostly cooked food) and serotonin (a neurotransmitter that acts as an anti-depressant). These bliss nutrients act as a natural mood lifter and anti-depressant.
Raw Cacao is also rich in magnesium, sulfur, good fats, flavanols. Flavanols have been shown in numerous studies to improve blood flow, and therefore oxygen to the brain- this leads to significant improvements in mental focus and attention span.

1) Make healthy hot chocolate drink by adding 1 Tbsp raw cacao powder into a cup of warm water/plant-based milk. Sweeten as desired.
2) Mix 2-3 Tsp Raw cacao powder into your favorite smoothies, beverages or no-bake recipes for a delightful, chocolatey twist.

These nibs are crunchy and bitter as they are unsweetened crushed cacao beans. 1) Use as toppings for your oatmeal, desserts or smoothies.
